ChoicePoint Diversity Fact Sheet

We believe that what makes us different makes us stronger. Diversity at ChoicePoint is not simply a program or initiative. Our philosophy of mutual respect and inclusion influences how we relate to our employees, manage our business and serve our customers.

As an information and technology company, we understand the importance of retaining the skills, knowledge and talents that a diverse workforce brings. We recognize that a company's success is determined by the employees and customers it can attract and retain.

Several years ago, we launched a corporate Diversity Council to promote diversity in the workplace through inclusion, optimization and prosperity. Diversity councils in our field locations give us broader representation as well. Our formal commitment is evident in our affinity groups that present forums to promote diversity awareness to all associates, and offer mentoring opportunities and sponsor programs that enhance professional and personal growth.

Disabilities Awareness Network - works to identify issues and develop resolutions that promote the inclusion of physically and mentally challenged individuals at ChoicePoint. The group also researches and recommends partnerships and methods that are available to recruit physically and mentally challenged individuals with an emphasis on abilities. In addition, the group supports programs and organizations that raise awareness about disabilities.

Gay and Lesbian Alliance - supports the company's goal of creating a workplace of inclusion and communicates ChoicePoint’s accepting culture through internal diversity awareness and education programs. The group also works to form business partnerships with external organizations that promote tolerance and human rights. In addition, GALA takes an active role as volunteers in surrounding communities.

Men Championing Diversity - The members of Men Championing Diversity believe that a diverse workforce is a strong, effective workforce. They further believe that they can and must play an important role, within the Diversity Council, in helping find workable methods of engaging, encouraging and supporting ChoicePoint's flourishing community of affinity groups.

Multicultural Group - promotes awareness, appreciation and understanding of ethnic and cultural diversity within ChoicePoint. Provides a forum for associates to network, find mentors, and learn more about the company. Participates in company-sponsored community outreach projects. Provides a strategic partnership into multicultural business markets.

ThirtySomething - helps promote a workplace that values family, employee health, career enrichment, and financial planning. The group also strives to have more fun than the other associate affinity networks.

Veterans - provides education and support for veteran-related holidays and community events, as well as information resources to employees pertaining to military service. The group also partners with the Diversity Council and other associate affinity networks to promote inclusion and respect in the workplace.

Women's Alliance - plans programs and activities with the goal of maximizing the potential of all female associates through mentoring, education, career planning, networking opportunities and leadership development. Works to identify outside resources and organizations that can be leveraged internally to support ChoicePoint associates. Participates in company-sponsored community outreach projects that support disadvantaged girls and women.

Each affinity group has executive sponsorship.

Additionally, the company offers diversity training for all associates. As outlined in our Equal Employment Opportunity policy: ChoicePoint is committed to providing equal opportunity in all employment practices including, but not limited to, selection, hiring, promotion, transfer, compensation, training, leaves of absence, and termination to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, sex/gender, sexual orientation, marital status, gender identity and/or expression, religion, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, veteran status or any other status protected by law. To further the company’s commitment to equal employment opportunity, ChoicePoint has developed affirmative action plans for minorities and women, individuals with disabilities, and Vietnam-era, special disabled and other covered veterans.

We were included on the recently released Human Rights Campaign 2006 Best Places to Work list for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Job Seekers and we are one of only two companies in the state of Georgia to be awarded a perfect score of 100 from the Human Rights Campaign for four consecutive years. We also have been honored in the past with a number of workplace awards and recognitions, including the 2004 Good Company of the Year designation by Atlanta Woman Magazine

ChoicePoint has diverse representation throughout our workplace (close to 40 percent of our workforce is non-white and nearly 60 percent is female), and we appreciate and acknowledge the many rewards that a diverse workforce can bring.

Our commitment to diversity extends beyond customer and employment relationships and into our community. For three consecutive terms, ChoicePoint has been an active participant in the Governor's Mentor Protégé Program to contribute to Georgia's economic growth by increasing opportunities for emerging Georgia-based small businesses. We mentored minority-owned businesses during the 2002-2004 (Diversiplex, Inc.) and 2004-2006 (McNeal Professional Services, Inc.) terms. ChoicePoint is currently serving as a mentor to Asteriz Consulting, Inc. for the 2006-2008 term.

In 2004, our chairman and chief executive officer, Derek V. Smith, co-chaired Morehouse College’s Candle in the Dark event, which honors and celebrates the significant achievements and diverse contributions of others.

In addition, ChoicePoint is actively involved with many nonprofit organizations that benefit diverse populations, such as the YWCA, American Red Cross, Georgia Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters and many more.
